Ever wondered whether all your tweets & facebook posts fall on deaf ears? Is it really worth all the Social Media Marketing effort?
I own & run a number of companies as well as Social Media Marketing Angel, so it takes some considerable time to keep on top of all my blog entries, facebook pages & posts, tweets, pinterest pins etc. Why do I do it? Because it works!
First of all, Social Media Marketing will help raise the profile of your business; it will help increase your google ranking (that of your website, possibly, but also by allowing people to find you through your other social media outlets such as facebook, twitter etc and see different facets of your business that way).
Additionally, it can actually work as a more direct marketing tool.
One of my businesses, Cini Ltd, which makes Supplì (authentic Italian Breaded Risotto Balls with a Gooey Cheese Centre), is a brand new business and I’m working the social media marketing angle quite fiercely to help put the business firmly on the www map. I’m going for quality twitter followers rather than quantity, so I’m building the numbers slowly but steadily (I’m at about 150-something now). Imagine, therefore, my delight & surprise when I got an e-mail from another business who’d seen Cini Ltd on Twitter and wanted to know more about my Suppli. Woop-woop! Of course, not every business enquiry turns into a business deal, so we’ll have to wait and see on that one, but from a pure social media marketing point of view, this is proof, yet again, that it works! This business wouldn’t have contacted me if it hadn’t been for my twitter posts
So don’t get disheartened if you don’t see instant results. Keep working at Social Media Marketing; it will yield results!
